Los Angeles / Conferences, Launches & Galas

Corporate Event Audio Consulting in Los Angeles

Every word lands. Every cue on time.

Conferences, product launches and galas live or die on intelligibility. If the CEO's keynote is muddy or a panel mic drops out, the room stops listening. Snake Audio gives your team an independent systems engineer who specifies the audio, gets AV proposals you can actually compare, and protects the show on the day. Every program is different, so nothing here is a package.

01 / What Jacob handles

What’s covered

General sessions & keynotes

Main PA, front fills and delays designed for even coverage across the room, with speech intelligibility as the priority.

Panels & breakouts

Mic plans for panels and Q&A, channel counts, backup wireless and frequency coordination for busy venues and hotels.

Product launches & reveals

Playback, walk-in music, stingers and reveal cues timed with show calling, video and lighting.

Galas & award dinners

Speech-first coverage over a full ballroom, awards walk-up music, entertainment and a clean handoff to the after-party.

Hybrid & streaming feeds

A clean program mix to broadcast and recording, separate from the room mix, so remote viewers hear the show properly.

Production & venue liaison

Working alongside your producer, AV company and venue in-house team, rider review and advance calls.

Service area: Based in Redondo Beach, CA, serving the South Bay and Los Angeles County.

02 / From the engineer’s side

The audio failures that hurt corporate shows

These are the problems engineers see again and again in corporate rooms:

  • Lav feedback and comb filtering. Presenters wander in front of the mains or under a delay speaker. Without a proper system tune and gain structure, a headset or lav starts ringing exactly when the exec gets animated.
  • Wireless dropouts. A crowded RF environment at a hotel or convention center, with no frequency coordination and no spares. Mic 4 dies mid-panel.
  • Back of the room can't understand. Mains sized for the front half of the ballroom, no delays, and HVAC noise burying the rest. People in the back hear volume but not words.
  • Bad program feed. The livestream gets the room mix, full of reverb and missing the playback, or levels jump between speakers.
  • Late changes, no one owning audio. Run of show changes the night before and no single engineer is tracking what that means for inputs, cues and staffing.

A corporate audience forgives a lot. It doesn't forgive not being able to hear.

03 / How the consulting works

How it works

  1. Consultation. We review the run of show, venue, attendance, streaming needs and the moments that cannot fail.
  2. Specification. Jacob writes a technical spec: coverage, channel counts, wireless, playback, comms and program feeds, so every vendor quotes the same show.
  3. Sourcing & quote comparison. We take the spec to qualified LA production companies, compare proposals line by line (gear, crew, labor hours, overtime) and recommend the right fit.
  4. Optional onsite engineering. Jacob can be your systems engineer or A1, or your technical advocate alongside the vendor crew, through rehearsal and show.

05 / Common questions

Frequently asked questions

What does a corporate event audio consultant do?

The consultant works for you, not the AV company. Snake Audio specifies what the show needs, gets comparable proposals from production companies, reviews them with your team and can stay through show day as your engineer or advocate.

We already have an AV company. Is a consultant still useful?

Often, yes. We can review their proposal and plot, flag gaps in coverage, wireless or crew, and work alongside their team on site. The goal is a better show, not replacing a vendor that's doing good work.

Can you help with hybrid or livestreamed conferences?

Yes. We plan a dedicated program mix for broadcast and recording separate from the room, and coordinate it with your video and streaming team.

Do you work in hotel ballrooms and convention centers?

Yes. We plan around in-house AV rules, rigging limits, power and RF conditions, and coordinate with in-house teams when the venue requires it.

How is consulting billed?

Consulting is a flat fee per event, onsite engineering is quoted separately, and any vendor referral fee is disclosed in writing before you book.
