Los Angeles / 2026 Holiday Season

Holiday Party & NYE Sound in Los Angeles

December fills up early. Plan the sound now.

Corporate holiday parties, holiday galas and New Year's Eve all compete for the same few weekends, the same venues and the same crews. The best LA production companies and engineers tend to commit their December and NYE dates early, so the planners who lock audio first get the most choice. Snake Audio can scope your event now, get vendor proposals while there are still options, and protect the night itself.

01 / What Jacob handles

What’s covered

Corporate holiday parties

Leadership remarks, awards, a DJ or band and a dance floor, often in a hotel ballroom or a rented venue, planned as one show.

New Year's Eve events

Countdown timing locked to a reliable clock, midnight cue playback, live acts and a mix that stays clean through the late hours.

Holiday galas & fundraisers

Speech-first dinner coverage, paddle raises and auctioneer mics, entertainment and a clean flip to the after-party.

Tight timelines

Back-to-back December load-ins, shared venue days and short changeovers planned so nothing is rushed on show day.

Service area: Based in Redondo Beach, CA, serving the South Bay and Los Angeles County.

02 / From the engineer’s side

Where holiday party sound goes wrong

Holiday events have their own failure modes, mostly because everyone is booked at once:

  • The B crew on the busiest night. The vendor is running five events that night. Your party gets whoever is left and gear that came straight off another truck.
  • The CEO's remarks lost in the noise. A loud room of 300 people with drinks, a DJ system with no proper speech mic, and nobody controlling levels during remarks.
  • A midnight countdown that's off. The countdown runs from someone's phone, the playback cue isn't ready, and the room hits midnight before the speakers do.
  • Booking late, settling for whatever's left. Waiting until December means choosing between whoever still has dates, not who's right for the event.

Holiday dates don't move. Booking the sound early is the simplest way to protect the night.

03 / How the consulting works

How it works

  1. Consultation, now. Tell us the date, venue, guest count and program. We'll tell you honestly what's realistic for the timeline.
  2. Scope & specification. Jacob specifies speech, entertainment, countdown and playback needs so vendors quote the same event.
  3. Sourcing while there's choice. We take the spec to qualified LA production companies early, compare their proposals and help you lock in the right one.
  4. Optional onsite engineering. Jacob can engineer the night or advocate for you alongside the vendor crew, subject to his own December availability.

05 / Common questions

Frequently asked questions

When should we book sound for a December holiday party?

As early as you can. December weekends and New Year's Eve are the busiest nights of the year for LA production companies and engineers, so planning in the fall gives you the widest choice of vendors and crew.

Is it too late to plan sound for a 2026 holiday party or NYE?

Not necessarily. Reach out with your date and venue and we'll tell you honestly what's still realistic and what the options look like.

Can you help with a corporate holiday party in a hotel ballroom?

Yes. We work around in-house AV rules, plan speech-first coverage for remarks and awards, and coordinate the DJ or band and the dance floor.

How do you handle a New Year's Eve countdown?

We lock the countdown to a reliable time source, build the midnight cue and playback into the show plan, and make sure whoever is on the mic knows exactly when to start.

How are you paid?

Consulting is a flat fee per event, onsite engineering is quoted separately, and any vendor referral fee is disclosed to you in writing before you book.
